Bring it On! North East receives local support

Local technology, engineering and science businesses have come together to support Bring It On! – the biggest celebration of Engineering in the North East.

Bring it On! is a two-day exhibition taking place on the 3rd and 4th October at the Beacon of Light, Sunderland’s most innovative sports and education facility. Welcoming over 70 exhibitors across the region and over 2,750 pupils this celebration of science and engineering aims to inspire, excite and educate the next generation.

From various supporter packages – starting from as little as £25 – to making personal donations, there are many ways for businesses and individuals to get involved and help us make this fantastic event a success and allow the legacy to continue for years to come.

We have been supported by some fantastic organisations who pride themselves on their work on encouraging and inspiring the younger generation to consider a career in Engineering.

Our headline supporters include AVID Technology, Make It Sunderland, Institute of Mechanical Engineers, the Community Foundation, Reece Foundation and Cleveland Scientific Institute with all companies donating £5000 or more towards the fantastic cause that is Bring It On.

Sunderland based battery manufacturers, Hyperdrive Innovation, is the latest company to become an official platinum supporter of Bring it On along with Chartered Institution of Building Services Engineers (CIBSE), both companies donating £1000 or more.

The Institute of Measurement and Control and the Institution of Civil Engineers have also joined our Wall of Honour as gold supporters and the Rotary Club of Blyth as silver.

Leading global supplier of automotive seating systems and electrical systems Lear Corporation have supported– the Automotive, Rail and Aerospace zone – one of the six zones featuring at the event.

The rest if the zones include:

Bring It On will once again bring together schools and industry to work together on building a passionate community feel around Engineering based subjects and to raise the aspirations and awareness of young people in the North East.

Carol Harrison, Big Bang North East Manager said:
“The support received from local businesses has been immense and very much appreciated by all of us here at the STEM Ambassador Hub North East. It is amazing to see how much North East industry is enthused and ready to work with the engineers of tomorrow. Providing so much support to an event like ours just goes to show the readiness and complete certainty that working together is the way forward to opening the doors for the younger generation to the many exciting Engineering opportunities that the North East has to offer.
