Bring It On, the largest celebration of engineering in the North East, returns for the fifth year in a row.

Following the success of our 2020 virtual programme featuring many of our brilliant North East engineering companies, we are delighted to announce plans for a bigger and better Bring It On in 2021.

Since its inception the Bring It On event has exclusively showcased our amazing North East based engineering companies, from large multi nationals to small SMEs. The aim of the event is to help to close the skills gap for engineering by allowing young people to experience real hands-on activities. The event is focused on North East pupils aged 9-14 and exclusively feature North East based engineering companies.

This year the event will take place entirely online on 4th November 2021 to coincide with the United Nations Climate Change Conference (COP26). Themed ‘Net Zero North East – Engineering YOUR future’ the event will focus on the contribution North East engineers and businesses are making towards tackling climate change.

The jam packed programme on 4th November will engage young people in challenges set by engineering companies that they can take part in from their classroom, live interaction via an online host, school group site visits to some of our region’s engineering companies, and even some local engineer ‘secret agent’ visits into schools (Government guidelines dependent of course)!

Bring It On is the only event of its kind in the North East aiming to provide a grand arena for schools and industry to engage with each other, collaborate and build a passionate community feel around Engineering and the fantastic career opportunities it offers.
