Sunderland Rotary

Rotary is one of the world’s most prestigious service organisation. We are made up of committed individuals, known as Rotarians, who are working together to help their local communities and those in need, worldwide.

Becoming a Rotarian connects you with a diverse group of people who share your drive to give back. They discuss the community’s needs and develop creative ways to meet them. They connect with others who are changing the world. They expand their professional and personal leadership skills. They catch up with good friends and meet new ones. And they work to make lives better and help to make amazing things happen.

Rotary has a global membership of around 1.2 million with over 35,000 clubs in over 200 countries. Amongst other significant worldwide projects, we are close to eradicating polio from this world.
